Welcome
to my web page! I joined the physics department at the
I am teaching introductory physics for physics majors SP221, Modern Physics SP301, and Nuclear Physics SP434; but, I have also taught our core physics courses SP211 & SP212. In addition, I direct student research projects (SP49X) and you can get a summary of my students' work by clicking on STUDENT RESEARCH.
My primary research interest is in nuclear physics with an emphasis on structure at high angular momentum. You can look at my research page (currently under construction) to see what kind of things I do. In particular, you can read about GAMMASPHERE, which is featured in the movie The Hulk, and is where I do most of my experiments. My work is currently funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation.
