- Department Head Retention Bonus (DHRB): Up to $150,000

- Continuation Bonus (COBO): Up to $50,000 annually

- Detailed to operational First Division Officer Tour to earn SWO qualification

- Accept follow-on orders to Shore Duty
- Complete the Prospective Nuclear Engineering Officer (PNEO) course
- Accrue a minimum of 4 months aboard post-PNEO
- Reactor Officer concurs with early transfer
- To 22 months if you:
- Complete the PNEO course and take orders as NPTU Shift Engineer, OR
- Sign a Department Head Retention Bonus contract AND
- Successfully complete PNEO
- Accrue a minimum of 4 months aboard post-PNEO
- Reactor Officer concurs with early transfer
- To 25 months if you:
- All current shore duty options remain available, including Talent Management
- Oppurtunities for Career Intermission Program (CIP)
