  • Proven career balance to produce highly effective warfighting ship Commanding Officers and technically competent CVN Reaction Officers
  • SWO Bonuses and Nuclear Officer Bonus and Incentive Pay (NOBIP) - Compensation for TWO skillsets with no interlock between SWO & Nucelar contracts
    1. SWO: Warfighting Skills
      1. Department Head Retention Bonus (DHRB): Up to $150,000
      2. LCDR Retention Bonus (LRB): Up to $46,000 
      3. Senior Officer Retention Bonus (SORB): Up to $48,000
    2. NOBIP: Nucelear Talent
      1. Continuation Bonus (COBO): Up to $50,000 annually
      2. Annual Incentive Pay (AIP): $12,500 annually
  • Detailed to operational First Division Officer Tour to earn SWO qualification
  • 28 month CVN Division Officer Sea Tour can be reduced
    • To 25 months if you:
      • Accept follow-on orders to Shore Duty
      • Complete the Prospective Nuclear Engineering Officer (PNEO) course
      • Accrue a minimum of 4 months aboard post-PNEO
      • Reactor Officer concurs with early transfer
    • To 22 months if you:
      • Complete the PNEO course and take orders as NPTU Shift Engineer, OR
      • Sign a Department Head Retention Bonus contract AND
        • Successfully complete PNEO
        • Accrue a minimum of 4 months aboard post-PNEO
        • Reactor Officer concurs with early transfer
  • All current shore duty options remain available, including Talent Management
  • Oppurtunities for Career Intermission Program (CIP)
